Season 14 of the Masked Singer is off to a hot start. Ten contestants took the stage last night in the premiere. Some of the stand out performances came from Cat Witch, Scarab, Pugcasso, and Galaxy Girl.
Contestants must wear special sweatshirts that say "Don't Talk to Me" on them, so people on The Masked Singer team know who to avoid. Pestis made clear that the shirts didn't come about "because of publicity," but rather to prevent confusion between staff and the stars.
David Ortiz took "The Masked Singer" stage as Googly Eyes, a red monster with five eyes sticking out of its head. According to host Nick Cannon, Googly Eyes was the biggest costume "The Masked Singer" has ever had.
The Masked Singer judges’ panel consists of Kim Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora (Ora replaced Nicole Scherzinger in Season 11). While their exact salaries are unknown, it’s been estimated that they make between $1.25 million and $2.5 million per season.
