The Bulldogs survived a long lull of offense early and managed to win on the road in the Big East. Here's what stood out:

Bryce McCray scored 12 points and had three rebounds for Seton Hall Prep, No. 13 in the NJ.com Top 20, in its 60-38 victory against Delbarton in the Dennis Gregory Memorial Classic hosted at the Panzer Athletic Center at Montclair State University.

Tarris Reed Jr. scored 21 points and Silas Demary Jr. made four free throws in the last 29 seconds as No. 3 UConn extended its winning streak to 13 games with a 69-64 win over No. 25 Seton Hall

The Huskies' victory marked the first time in 58 months — since March 3, 2021 — that Connecticut beat SHU on the road. And it did it in escape-route fashion in the final minute. UConn point guard Silas Demary Jr. sank two foul shots with less than 30 seconds remaining to put the Huskies up 67-64. The Rock was thumping.

Seton Hall won one hell of a 22 minute basketball game on Wednesday night at Walsh Gym, surpassing Marquette 42-41, and it was only that close because Jordan Meulemans hit a three at the horn to drag the Golden Eagles within one.

UConn was led by Tarris Reed Jr.’s 21 points and nine rebounds, while senior Alex Karaban helped cross the win off his “checklist,” adding 13 points and five rebounds.

Dylan Mesler’s two goals and two assists helped fuel Seton Hall Prep, No. 7 in the NJ.com Top 20, to an 8-1 victory over Gloucester Catholic at Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell. Christian Jaworski also had four points for Seton Hall Prep (6-6), recording a goal and three assists.
