The Pittsburgh Steelers have requested their eighth head coach interview, this time with an offensive-minded candidate.
The Steelers are one of eight head coaching vacancies around the NFL. One of those openings briefly belonged to their longtime rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, who fired John Harbaugh after 18 seasons shortly after their Week 18 loss to -- coincidentally -- the Steelers.

Former Falcons head coach receives two interview requests
John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin and Kevin Stefanski are all available, but two former Atlanta Falcons head coaches have been drawing interest as well. According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Arizona Cardinals and the Tennessee Titans have requested to interview Arthur Smith for their head coaching vacancies.
The Steelers have requested interviews with a number of coaches since Tomlin stepped down earlier this week. Team owner Art Rooney II said on Wednesday that he will not be putting an exact time frame on how long he’d like the process to take.
Interviews may begin on Jan. 6 if the coach's team played last Saturday, so the Cardinals could interview coaches on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Seattle Seahawks. Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is one such candidate.
