Ottumwans will have fewer health care services available after one primary care clinic announced Wednesday it will soon close and another confirmed a reduction in services.

MercyOne announced Wednesday that the Ottumwa Family and Internal Medicine clinic will close in late February.

After closing a clinic in eastern Iowa in December 2025, MercyOne confirmed a southeast clinic will close in February.

Mercy One's Ottumwa medical clinic will close in February, leaving hundreds of patients and 30 staff members to find new options for care and employment.
