A massive winter storm is slamming the tri-state area -- and much of the country -- with snow, ice and freezing rain.

A massive winter storm bearing down on the East Coast this weekend is expected to bring heavy snow and subzero temperatures to New York.

The snowstorm has already brought major disruptions to travel, with a majority of flights out of Boston Logan Airport scheduled to leave after 2 p.m. having been cancelled.
