Is it go time for Iceman? After a song leak and cryptic Instagram posts, Toronto rapper Drake appears to be signaling it's on the way.
Just days ago, Take Care sat at No. 22, far from the chart’s upper ranks. Its climb now pushes the album to roughly 670 total weeks on the Billboard 200, a milestone few hip hop releases from the early 2010s have reached.
Drake fills four spots on the current Top Streaming Albums chart, and as half of them surge to new peaks, the other two don’t come anywhere close to their previously-set high points. Some Sexy Songs 4 U is a non-mover at No. 23, while Certified Lover Boy reenters the tally at No. 48, in third-to-last place.
Drake sets up a recording studio in a Houston strip club as he puts the finishing touches on his Iceman album. On Dec. 26, Drizzy shared footage on social media from Area 29 in H-Town. In the clip, the rapper's crew is walking around the dimly lit venue.
While hosting a livestream to mark Stake’s eighth anniversary, Drake gave fans an update on his highly anticipated album Iceman. The Nokia emcee revealed that his creative process has him keeping some intense hours to get the project across the finish line.
The albums on this list helped define the sonic and cultural landscape of the late 2010s. Several artists, including Rihanna and Frank Ocean, dropped major projects in 2016 that wound up being their final releases that decade.
